Numerous emergency services, including the South Wales Police and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, are present at the scene. An individual who witnessed the event mentioned, “My friend and I reached the scene shortly after the collision, just before the street was closed off. The van, a white VW, was reported to have swiftly emerged from the NCP car park.” Another observer described the van as apparently losing control, speeding out of the NCP at approximately 40mph before colliding with the building adjacent to Casanova’s, narrowly missing pedestrians.
The fire service is currently on-site preparing to remove the vehicle, with the area cordoned off. Although individuals are allowed to exit the car park, entry is restricted.
