Bernie Ecclestone’s spouse has shared insights into how they manage parenting their five-year-old child, despite their significant 46-year age gap. The ex-Formula One chief, now aged 95, and his 49-year-old partner reside in the serene Swiss village of Gstaad.
They welcomed their son into the world in 2020 when Ecclestone was 89, a new chapter in their lives after getting married eight years earlier. The family divides their time between the picturesque Swiss Alps and Fabiana’s home country, Brazil.
Flosi and Ecclestone have nurtured their son to be trilingual, with Ace fluent in Portuguese from his mother, English from his father, and Swiss German from attending the International Preschool in Gstaad.
In a recent interview with Bild discussing their parenting journey, Fabiana explained how they manage with a 95-year-old father and a 49-year-old mother, emphasizing their teamwork in raising Ace. Ecclestone chimed in, praising Ace’s adaptability and intelligence.
Fabiana also mentioned their parenting challenges, such as restricting screen time and planning for Ace’s first mobile phone. Ecclestone shared his hope that Ace sees him as a supportive figure rather than just an older individual.
There is a vast age contrast between Ecclestone’s eldest child, Deborah, aged 70, and Ace, who has recently started school. Ecclestone expressed a preference for a quiet celebration with his family rather than a grand party.
Ecclestone recently sold a yacht named after his daughters due to infrequent use, with reports indicating it was utilized only eight days per year. Another yacht owned by the Formula 1 figure is also up for sale, signaling a shift in his assets.
