A court has heard that a woman, living in fear before her death, was fatally stabbed by her possessive boyfriend. Michael Ormandy, with ‘The Hitman’ tattooed on his neck, brutally killed his partner Rebekah Campbell, 32, in her flat in Knowsley Heights, Liverpool. The victim, knifed 27 times, pleaded for help as she collapsed outside her flat. Text exchanges between the couple prior to the stabbing revealed Rebekah’s fear of Ormandy. The incident unfolded when Ormandy confronted Rebekah at her flat, leading to her tragic death.

Ormandy was captured on CCTV leaving the scene after Rebekah shouted that she had been stabbed. She later succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The court learned that the relationship was deteriorating, with Rebekah considering ending it. Following his arrest, Ormandy made threatening statements, claiming he would harm others if his dogs were touched. Despite his denial of the number of stab wounds inflicted on Rebekah, a post mortem examination confirmed the violent nature of the attack.

Ormandy was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 24 years. The tragic incident highlighted the devastating consequences of domestic violence.
