Kamala Harris is contemplating a potential presidential run, indicating she is not finished yet. The ex-Vice President, who was defeated by Donald Trump in the 2024 election, expressed to the BBC her strong inclination towards a future presidential candidacy.

During an interview with Laura Kuenssberg, Harris mentioned her belief in the likelihood of a female president during her grandnieces’ lifetime, hinting at the possibility of it being herself. She emphasized her commitment to public service throughout her career, stating that it is ingrained in her.

Despite being viewed as an underdog in the competition for the next Democratic Presidential nominee, national polls show Harris leading by 3.6 points over her closest contender, California Governor Gavin Newsom. Disregarding the polls, Harris highlighted her past decisions not to rely on them for her political pursuits.

In reference to Trump, Harris criticized his actions, labeling him a “tyrant” and pointing out instances where he targeted individuals critical of him. She condemned business leaders who complied with Trump’s demands, mentioning a list of companies and individuals who financially supported Trump’s projects.

The full interview with Harris will be aired on Ms. Kuenssberg’s BBC One program on Sunday morning.
