King Charles took decisive action last week to address the situation involving his brother, Andrew, following increasing pressure. Reports from royal sources indicate that during a 10-minute phone call on Friday, the monarch clearly communicated to Andrew that if he did not voluntarily relinquish his titles, they would be stripped from him by force.

In response, Andrew released a statement asserting his decision to prioritize his family and country, stating that he would no longer utilize his titles or honors. Consequently, Andrew has surrendered his title as the Duke of York, and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, is no longer a Duchess. Additionally, he has renounced his membership in the Order of the Garter, a prestigious British chivalric order.

The move by King Charles comes amidst ongoing allegations against Andrew, particularly concerning his association with Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has vehemently denied accusations made by Virginia Giuffre of sexual misconduct.

It has been disclosed that Andrew’s financial support, previously provided by the late Queen, has been terminated. According to sources, Andrew has found alternative income sources related to international trade.

Further revelations indicate that Andrew has paid minimal rent for his residence, Royal Lodge, for over two decades. This news sheds light on how he has maintained his lifestyle at the property, fueling calls for him to vacate the premises.

The lease agreement for Royal Lodge, obtained by the Associated Press, reveals that Andrew paid £1 million for the lease and contributed at least £7.5 million toward renovations. He holds a 75-year lease on the property until 2078, with provisions for compensation should he choose to relinquish it.
