A tragic incident unfolded in an Iceland car park resulting in the death of an elderly individual, confirmed by local authorities.
The emergency response was activated at a supermarket in Aspley, Nottingham, on Monday at 2:20 pm following a collision between a vehicle and an 86-year-old pedestrian. Nottinghamshire Police reported that the woman sustained severe injuries and was promptly transported to the hospital.
Despite the diligent efforts of medical personnel, the woman passed away during the early hours of Wednesday. Police are now urging any witnesses to step forward. Detective Constable Liah Lane from Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit expressed, “The family of the deceased is receiving support from specialized officers during this tragic event.”
