Amazon’s AI-powered recap feature on Prime Video, which aimed to provide quick summaries of shows like Fallout, has been swiftly removed after inaccuracies were discovered. Fans noticed errors in the AI recaps, such as misidentifying the time period of flashback scenes and misinterpreting character actions. The inaccurate recaps led to the removal of the feature before the debut of Fallout Season 2.

Although Amazon is focused on integrating AI technology into its services, the flawed AI recap feature has been taken down, indicating a need for further refinement. The VP of technology at Prime Video previously praised the feature as groundbreaking but its premature removal suggests it requires more development.

Amazon has not commented on whether the feature will return. Fallout fans can catch Season 2 starting on December 17, with new episodes airing weekly until the finale on February 4, 2026.
