Excitement is building up as the first PS Plus lineup of 2026 nears release, with a significant change awaiting gamers. December marked a significant month for PlayStation’s subscription service, introducing a range of new games like LEGO Horizons, Killing Floor 3, The Outlast Trials, Synduality: Echo of Ada, and Neon White.

Anticipation is high for January, with hopeful speculations suggesting titles such as Sniper Elite Resistance, Death Stranding 2, and Street Fighter 6 might feature in the upcoming lineup. However, the confirmation has come that PlayStation 4 games will no longer be part of the offerings, focusing solely on PS5 games going forward.

Sony officially announced the shift, emphasizing that the decision is aligned with the growing number of players on PS5. According to a PlayStation spokesperson, the evolution of PlayStation Plus reflects the trend of players engaging more with PS5 titles, starting from January 2026.

As a result, fans wishing for classic PlayStation titles from previous generations will be disappointed when the January 2026 lineup is unveiled on December 31.
