Amazon is rolling out a major update for Fire TV devices this month, promising a revamped experience that is cleaner, faster, and better organized. The update includes new categories for easier navigation of movies, TV shows, news, live content, and sports from all services. Users can now pin their favorite apps to the home screen, access a more user-friendly menu system, and open a Shortcut Panel instantly by pressing and holding the Home button.
Additionally, the free system update offers a performance boost of up to 30%. Football fans will be pleased to find a dedicated football hub on Fire TV for staying updated on match schedules and accessing live games through local providers. The updated Fire TV experience is currently available for Fire TV Stick HD (newest model) and Amazon Ember Artline devices, with plans to extend to other models soon.
Amazon encourages users to restart their devices if they haven’t received the update yet. If the new interface doesn’t appear after restarting, it means the update is still pending. Amazon assures users that the update will be automatically delivered in the coming weeks without any action required on their part.
