Charlotte Church ended her engagement with former rugby player Gavin Henson just six weeks after accepting his proposal. Recently, Church made headlines for being removed from the show “Celebrity Traitors.” The renowned singer-turned-actress faced an unexpected exit after being “eliminated” by Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr, and Cat Burns on the BBC program.

Having risen to fame at the young age of 11 for her exceptional singing talent, Church later delved into acting and various music-related projects. However, it was her relationship with Henson that consistently grabbed media attention. The couple began dating in 2005, eventually welcoming two children together, Ruby and Dexter, and announcing their engagement in 2010.

Despite the initial excitement surrounding their engagement, Church and Henson shocked many by confirming their separation a mere six weeks later. Church had previously expressed elation over the proposal, describing it as an emotional moment. Henson later revealed that their decision to part ways was motivated by their children’s well-being, stating they were not compatible despite their love for each other.

Addressing the separation, a joint statement by Church and Henson emphasized their commitment to minimizing the impact on their children and working together amicably. Church later married musician Jonathan Powell in 2017, clarifying that her relationship with Powell began only after her split from Henson.

Henson, on the other hand, tied the knot with his long-time partner Katie Wilson in 2019. Reflecting on her experience on “The Traitors,” Church admitted to underestimating the intensity of the show and acknowledged a newfound perspective on celebrities. She expressed a restored faith in celebrities following the challenging experience.
