Apple is currently hosting its annual WWDC Developers Conference at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, unveiling a range of updates for its products, including the iPhone. The upcoming features set to launch later this year promise enhanced customization, improved parental controls, quicker app access, and a more intuitive Siri assistant. This release is anticipated to be a hit, especially for users with devices compatible with Apple Intelligence.
Initially introduced in 2024, Apple Intelligence faced challenges with several promised features not coming to fruition. The tech giant from the US has dedicated efforts to refine this innovative service, now gearing up to introduce the improvements to the general public.
Expected to debut in September, the updated Apple Intelligence is poised to simplify daily tasks by assisting in calendar organization and providing quick suggestions based on the context of users’ conversations in Messages. For instance, upon receiving a message requesting “photos of mum,” Apple Intelligence will promptly display relevant images from the user’s photo library.
Noteworthy changes are also being made to Safari browsers, including the addition of Notify Me, enabling users to monitor web pages for updates like product restocks or price changes. Additionally, Safari now features tabs that automatically categorize themselves by topic.
One of the standout enhancements is related to photos. The new Apple Intelligence boasts improved image retouching capabilities, allowing users to remove unwanted elements from photos effortlessly. Furthermore, users can now extend backgrounds without the need for advanced editing skills, and a feature called Spatial Reframing permits post-photo composition adjustments for precision.
Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering, expressed Apple’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology for user-friendly products. The focus is on integrating Artificial Intelligence into daily products with a strong emphasis on user privacy. The update for Apple Intelligence will be available on iOS 27 this fall, supporting various iPhone models.
