Noel Clarke, recognized for his portrayal in the science fiction series “Doctor Who,” faces six sexual offense charges, which were disclosed by England and Wales’ Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) on Wednesday. The 50-year-old British actor and filmmaker gained fame for his role as Mickey Smith on the BBC program from 2005 to 2010. The charges against him include two counts of sexual assault, one count of exposure, and three counts of voyeurism. Voyeurism, as defined by CPS, involves observing or recording a private act of another person without their consent, often for sexual gratification.

The alleged offenses related to Clarke are reported to have occurred between 2007 and 2016 and are based on complaints from five women. These charges emerge following a previous incident five years ago when a Guardian expose uncovered claims of sexual harassment, groping, and bullying by Clarke from 20 women, some alleging inappropriate behavior during the production of “Doctor Who,” accusations Clarke vehemently refuted.

As per the Guardian, the recent charges stemmed from an investigation that commenced in September 2025. Clarke is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on October 21. Besides his role in “Doctor Who,” Clarke is also recognized for his work in creating and starring in the teen crime dramas “Kidulthood” (2006), “Adulthood” (2008), and “Brotherhood” (2016), tackling themes of drug abuse, bullying, and street violence in London. He directed “Adulthood” and helmed both directed and produced “Brotherhood.” Clarke’s acting credits further include “Centurion” (2010), “Fast Girls” (2012), “Star Trek Into Darkness” (2013), and the television series “Bulletproof” (2018-2021).
