A tragic incident unfolded outside a pub in Knockholt, Kent, on Valentine’s Day when Lisa Smith, aged 43, was fatally shot twice in the neck by her husband, Edward Smith. The unfortunate event occurred as Lisa sought to end the relationship, as revealed in an inquest.

Earlier that day, Lisa had informed her sister of her decision to leave her husband and had traveled from Slough, Berkshire, to stay with family in Kent. However, Edward tracked her down to the pub’s car park that evening, where he cornered her with his vehicle and fired multiple shots with a handgun, leading to Lisa’s untimely death.

Following the shooting, Edward, also known as Edvard Stockings, sent voice notes to an individual named “Nana,” confessing to the act before taking his own life by jumping from a bridge in Dartford. The tragic sequence of events unfolded after a verbal altercation between Edward and Lisa’s sister at the pub, where Edward displayed aggressive behavior before the fatal shooting took place.

Despite efforts to provide medical assistance, Lisa succumbed to her injuries shortly after the incident. The coroner’s investigation concluded that Edward had the intent to harm Lisa, leading to her unlawful killing. An inquest into Edward Smith’s death is set to take place to shed further light on the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
