A popular social media influencer passed away shortly after getting married. Adna Rovčanin-Omerbegović, aged 26, became ill during her wedding reception on September 13 and was swiftly taken to a hospital. Tragically, she slipped into a coma and passed away on September 15.
Apart from her online content creation work, Adna also owned a salon in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia. Fans have expressed deep sorrow over her untimely death. One follower expressed, “Yesterday you were with us, today we bid you farewell. Rest in peace, dear Adna.”
“It’s unjust that young lives should end prematurely like this,” another individual added, while a third person said, “You will always hold a special place in our hearts.”
Adna is survived by her husband, four sisters, and her parents. The exact cause of her death remains unknown, and an autopsy is being conducted to determine the reason behind her sudden deterioration.
Adna and her spouse tied the knot at the Hollywood Hotel in Sarajevo. Her funeral took place on September 17, with prayers offered at the Mosque of Kobilja Glava. Hundreds of mourners attended her wake to pay their respects, as reported by local source Crnu-Hronik.
“Adna was always dedicated to helping others,” a friend shared. “She spent her professional life as a nurse at the Old City Health Center, with makeup as her beloved hobby.”
Although Adna’s social media accounts were deactivated following her passing, her wedding photographer paid tribute to her on Instagram Stories, describing her smile as the most beautiful in Bosnia. The photographer had previously shared pictures of Adna and her husband, Faris, before their wedding ceremony.
