Fortnite is teasing an upcoming collaboration with Daft Punk set to kick off in an interactive experience launching this weekend.
Known for its musical partnerships, Fortnite has a history of incorporating artists into the game. Following leaks of a Gorillaz skin that led to the Fortnite Festival season, it’s clear that musicians in the game have a significant presence.
Teasers have hinted at a major collaboration with the iconic duo Daft Punk, and a recent blog post has revealed details about the partnership, surprising many by announcing that it won’t be a live event.
The Fortnite Daft Punk Experience launch date is confirmed for Saturday, September 27 at 11am PDT / 2pm EDT / 7pm BST with a Grand Opening, as stated in the latest Fortnite blog post.
The experience is set to last for an extended period, offering players the chance to engage with Daft Punk’s music and create their own remixes in various virtual spaces within the game.
Players can look forward to exploring Dream Chamber Studios, battling robots in the Robot Rock Arena, and enjoying the Daft Club. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to craft a Lego music video in the Around The World area, catering to fans of both Lego and Fortnite.
The Fortnite Daft Punk Experience will kick off with a Grand Opening showcasing visuals and audio from NASA and The Recording Academy.
To accompany the collaboration, a range of Fortnite Daft Punk cosmetics will be available in the Item Shop starting on Thursday, September 25 at 5pm PDT / 8pm EDT, and Friday, September 26 at 1am BST.
Lego Fortnite enthusiasts will be delighted with the introduction of the Daft Punk Pyramid Build and other related items in the Item Shop, providing a unique music-reactive building experience.
The extensive lineup of cosmetics and items in the Daft Punk bundle reflects the enduring popularity of the duo, making it a compelling addition to the game for players seeking immersive gameplay experiences.
