Andy Murray, a two-time Wimbledon champion, showcased his impressive golf skills with a handicap of two at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship Pro-Am. Despite his golf prowess, Murray is slightly trailing behind Gareth Bale in the rankings.

Following his retirement from tennis, Murray has been actively participating in Pro-Am golf tournaments, including recent appearances at the BMW PGA Championship in Wentworth and various courses in Scotland. During the team championship, Murray played at Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, and St Andrews alongside professional golfer Eddie Pepperell.

Murray’s golf performance has been commendable, with highlights such as scoring a birdie at Carnoustie and showcasing his skills at St Andrews’ Old Course. His ambition extends to potentially competing in The Open in the coming years, as he expressed during the BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am.

Sharing his experiences on social media, Murray expressed gratitude to his golf partner, Eddie Pepperell, and fans for their support during the tournament. He also humorously mentioned a bunker mishap that was spared from public exposure, appreciating the understanding and kindness shown.

Looking ahead, Murray aims to qualify for The Open in the near future, acknowledging the high skill level of professional golfers. He plans to participate in regional qualifiers, setting a timeline of a couple of years to hone his golf abilities before venturing into major tournaments like The Open.
