Two young British mothers are in critical condition after being hit by a car in Ibiza. Lauren Holmes, 27, and Ebony Cordingley, 26, both from Bradford, suffered severe injuries in the accident while on holiday. They are currently receiving intensive care treatment, with one at the Nuestra Senora del Rosario Polyclinic and the other at Can Misses state hospital in Ibiza.
The women’s families have shared photos of them, expressing shock and devastation over the incident that has disrupted what was supposed to be a joyous vacation. Ebony is undergoing treatment at Nuestra Senora del Rosario Polyclinic, while Lauren is being cared for at Can Misses state hospital. The collision occurred in the early hours of the morning on the El-600 road between Ibiza and San Antonio, involving a Toyota Corolla driven by a 24-year-old Spanish individual.
A fundraising appeal has been launched for Lauren, who sustained serious injuries including broken limbs, ribs, and internal injuries. The appeal highlights the challenges faced by the family in supporting her and her children during this difficult time. Similarly, Ebony’s family has started a GoFundMe campaign to assist with her medical expenses and the care needed for her three young sons.
While Lauren’s condition is described as critical, Ebony is reported to have a brain bleed, lung bleeding, broken and fractured limbs, broken ribs, and contusions. The Civil Guard is investigating the incident, and although the driver passed a sobriety test, no arrests have been made yet. The police are looking into the circumstances surrounding the accident that occurred in the early hours on the El-600 road in Ibiza.
