Co-op is gearing up to unveil 11 new stores this week, spread across various locations ranging from Bristol to the Scottish Highlands. Notably, the Co-op will be the inaugural permanent retailer at the new Brent Cross Town development in London.

The new stores opening include a mix of fresh shops, franchise-operated outlets, and revamped stores. This move forms part of the retailer’s commitment to invest in over 200 new and revitalized stores by 2024/25.

These new additions are part of the 50 stores Co-op recently confirmed to open in November and December, just in time for the festive season. The retailer is urging the Government to implement business-rates reform in the upcoming Budget for continued growth and support.

Kate McCrae, Co-op Operations Director, emphasized the company’s dedication to creating local stores that serve as community hubs, providing convenience and meeting the needs of residents. She highlighted the importance of supporting local economies, creating jobs, and championing British suppliers.

Furthermore, Co-op has introduced 200 new personalized offers, increased discounts, member games, reward mechanisms, and exclusive deals as part of its membership scheme. Shoppers stand to save over £90 throughout October, November, and December, with monthly prize draws for every £5 spent in-store and online.

Rachel Halter, Director of Membership at Co-op, emphasized the commitment to delivering value to member owners through enhanced personalized offers and rewards. The aim is to ensure that members enjoy savings on their favorite products and ranges, reinforcing the brand’s promise of exceptional value and member rewards.
