Comedian Peter Kay has had to cancel a show due to a recent surgical procedure. The popular entertainer shared this update through his social media platform, Twitter.

Peter Kay, hailing from Bolton and aged 52, has been making headlines with his ongoing tour, now in its third year. Despite this success, he unfortunately had to cancel two upcoming shows.

Last year, Peter made a comeback with his first live comedy performances in 12 years as part of an extensive tour scheduled until 2025, following high public demand. This tour marked his return after achieving the Guinness World Record in 2010 for the largest selling comedy tour, entertaining over 1.2 million fans.

In a statement posted on social media by SJM Concerts, it was announced that due to a routine kidney stone procedure, Peter Kay would not be able to perform at Nottingham Motorpoint Arena on October 5 and 6. Following medical advice, Peter will take some time off to rest and recuperate.

Earlier this year, Peter faced negative attention for ejecting a heckler from his show, causing controversy. Despite this, he recently revealed plans to release a personal and humorous book titled “Peter Kay’s Diary: The Monthly Memoir of a Boy from Bolton.”

Peter Kay, known for his stand-up specials and TV shows, first gained fame by winning Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny? contest in 1997. His success continued with various TV projects, including sitcoms and live performances, solidifying his status as a comedic icon.
