President Donald Trump endorsed Darline Graham’s candidacy and provided substantial financial backing through his MAGA INC super PAC. During a rally in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Trump emphasized his support for Darline Graham by stating, “I am on the ballot.”
Darline Graham, aged 62, is slated to face off against Democratic nominee Annie Andrews, a pediatrician, in the general election. Given the deeply conservative nature of the state, Graham is anticipated to secure a comfortable victory. This primary election serves as one of the many tests of Trump’s influence on voters in the upcoming midterm elections, as he aims to prevent the Democratic party from seizing control of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate from the Republican party.
