Kelvin and Liz, the owners of a farm, are celebrating the arrival of a new member. Viewers will witness the touching moment on the upcoming episode of Fletcher’s Family Farm. During the birth of a baby lamb, the couple experienced a moment of panic when the mother sheep did not immediately attend to her newborn.
Reflecting on the ease of the lambing process, Liz and Kelvin shared their thoughts before the birth. Liz mentioned that this year’s lambing had been smooth compared to the previous year, with most births occurring naturally. They emphasized their preference for allowing the animals to handle the process independently.
As they observed the birth, Liz expressed concern about the mother sheep not licking the newborn. She intervened by breaking the sac around the lamb’s face to prevent suffocation.
In another segment of the show, the couple introduced a bull named Crowther to the farm in honor of Kelvin’s late friend. Kelvin expressed excitement about having a male on the farm and shared that the bull’s name held sentimental value to him.
Four months later, Kelvin remarked on the bull’s growth, reminiscing about his late friend for whom the bull was named. He shared that his friend’s parents were pleased when he sent them a photo of the bull.
The upcoming episode of Fletcher’s Family Farm will showcase the farm’s fourth year, featuring lambing season and the addition of a bull to the Lincoln Reds herd. Kelvin’s venture into arable farming and a fire incident in their farmhouse will also be highlighted.
Don’t miss Fletcher’s Family Farm airing on ITV this Sunday at 11.30 am.
