Fortnite enthusiasts faced significant disruptions on November 26th, leading to login issues, matchmaking errors, and connection problems on various platforms including PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. This triggered a surge in searches for ‘Is Fortnite down’, prompting developer Epic Games to confirm an ongoing investigation.

The Fortnite Status account acknowledged the login difficulties, stating that the team is actively addressing the issue and will provide updates once resolved. These technical hitches occurred just before the upcoming Chapter 7 of the Fortnite x Simpsons collaboration, with players expressing frustration over their inability to access new skins for purchase.

Earlier this month, the fictional town of Springfield was introduced to Fortnite, offering players a virtual experience within the iconic setting. This crossover brought 14 Fortnite Simpsons skins, accessible through the battle pass or in-game purchases. Despite the recent disruptions, players have until November 29th to unlock a free reward featuring a giant Homer Simpson character in the game.

Additionally, a free loading screen featuring the Giant Homer skin is available in the Item Shop for players who log in between now and November 29th. This cosmetic reward can be claimed by accessing the player’s locker upon receiving a pop-up notification.
