A man fatally shot his former wife with a shotgun inside a hospital, causing shock among witnesses. Surveillance footage captured Atilla Ayintapli, 44, concealing the firearm in a blue bag as he entered a private medical facility in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey.
After locating his ex-partner, Eser Karaca, 42, who worked as a medical secretary in the hospital, Ayintapli pursued her with the weapon in hand as she and a colleague attempted to flee. Despite their efforts to escape, Ayintapli caught up with Eser, shooting her multiple times in the torso as terrified onlookers scattered.
Following the brutal attack, Ayintapli callously fired two more rounds at Eser before leaving the scene on foot and discarding the weapon at the hospital entrance. Tragically, Eser had sought a restraining order against her violent ex-husband on the day of her death, but it was not served in time.
Turkish authorities swiftly apprehended Ayintapli, who confessed to the murder, and he was taken into custody. This incident adds to a series of disturbing femicide cases that have plagued Turkey in recent times.
In a separate case, Serkan Dindar was found guilty of killing Ceyda Yüksel in Izmir after an altercation at his residence. Security footage captured Dindar’s aggressive behavior towards Ceyda, culminating in a violent confrontation that led to her tragic death.
