An inquiry has been initiated following the untimely death of a 20-year-old bar employee during the early morning hours. The young woman, who worked at Gorilla in Manchester, was found unresponsive in a residence near the establishment’s sister venue, The Deaf Institute, on October 16.
Upon receiving welfare concerns, Greater Manchester Police promptly responded to the residence on Grosvenor Street. Subsequently, it was disclosed that three individuals had been apprehended in connection with suspected drug distribution. These individuals were later released on bail.
In a statement to The Mirror, the police recounted the incident, stating, “Officers were called to an incident on Grosvenor Street, Manchester, following welfare concerns. Tragically, the lifeless body of a 20-year-old woman was discovered. Three arrests were made in relation to drug supply, and those individuals have been bailed. Investigations are ongoing.”
A representative from the Deaf Institute acknowledged the tragic passing of a team member from the Gorilla venue, expressing a lack of detailed information on the incident. The spokesperson emphasized the institute’s commitment to supporting the authorities in their investigation and extended condolences to the deceased employee’s loved ones during this somber period.
