Selena Gomez, a renowned singer and actor, is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege that she engaged in fraudulent activities by not fulfilling her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup, Wondermind Global. The investors, who collectively invested around $1.2 million in the startup, were promised a platform aimed at enhancing mental fitness when the company launched in 2021.

Despite Gomez’s substantial social media following of over 500 million followers, investors claim that she and other company executives failed to uphold their commitments, such as the creation of a mobile app. The lawsuit asserts that Gomez entered into a contract to play a key role in the company but allegedly neglected her responsibilities.

According to the legal complaint, the plaintiffs assert that the company did not materialize as a viable venture and failed to meet fundamental obligations, including timely payments to employees and vendors. The investors were reportedly unaware of the company’s issues until a news article surfaced online in September 2025, prompting them to seek reimbursement of their investments and legal costs.

Requests for comments from Gomez’s representative regarding the lawsuit remain unanswered at this time. The plaintiffs are pursuing legal action to recover their investments and associated expenses.
