Kelly Osbourne was emotional as she honored her late father, Ozzy, while accepting an award on his behalf. Ozzy, the iconic Black Sabbath frontman, passed away at the age of 76 after suffering a cardiac arrest in July.

The daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Kelly took the stage at The Birmingham Awards to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award in honor of her father. Ozzy, who cherished his connection to Birmingham, was remembered by Kelly for his deep love for the city.

She expressed, “This recognition tonight surpasses all others. While he was proud of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, his star on the Walk of Stars on Broad Street meant the world to him. Birmingham was always his heart and soul despite spending much of his life in America for work. His final visit in July was a poignant farewell to the city he adored.”

Ozzy’s last performance was at a charity event called Back To The Beginning held at Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5. Shortly after, he passed away, drawing thousands of mourners to his funeral.

During the emotional acceptance speech, Kelly shared the overwhelming support they received from the community. She recounted the touching tribute from fans who lined the streets to bid farewell to the rock legend. She highlighted Ozzy’s unwavering dedication to Birmingham, emphasizing his desire for his final concert to be in Aston.

In a recent update, Jack Osbourne, one of Ozzy’s children, reflected on the family’s grief since their father’s passing. He mentioned that Sharon Osbourne, his mother, is struggling but finds solace in the outpouring of love and support from fans.
