Drivers on a major motorway are experiencing significant delays due to a recent crash. The police have shut down multiple lanes on the M6 following the collision. Images shared online depict extensive queues stretching back for at least six miles. A detailed map has been released highlighting areas to avoid amidst the traffic disruption.
The map illustrates a buildup of traffic on the eastbound section of the M55 leading to the M6 southbound. Commuters are advised to anticipate delays of around 45 minutes as a result of the incident. Lancashire Road Police are currently present at the scene managing the situation. In response to the crash, three lanes have been closed. National Highways has officially confirmed the closure of these lanes between junctions 31A and 31.
