Morrisons is distributing more than 27 tonnes of carrots for customers to offer to Rudolph and his companions.
Starting from December 20 until Christmas Eve, shoppers can receive a complimentary carrot from the “Naturally Wonky” selection, subject to availability. These carrots may have slightly irregular shapes or sizes.
Chris Smith, Root Veg Senior Trader at Morrisons, expressed, “Christmas embodies spreading joy and cheer, so we are pleased to provide our young customers with a free wonky carrot to leave out for Rudolph and friends on Christmas Eve.”
“Our Naturally Wonky range backs British farmers, reduces waste, and gives customers an economical option that still delivers fantastic taste,” he added.
This initiative coincides with various major UK supermarkets reducing the prices of Christmas vegetables to as low as 5p, encompassing potatoes, carrots, parsnips, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts. The complete list of discounted Christmas vegetables can be found below.
