A mother has disclosed a distressing encounter she had with the infamous pedophile Ian Watkins online, where he made disturbing requests involving her baby. The woman, known as Hannah, has decided to share her ordeal following Watkins’ recent death in prison. Watkins, the former lead singer of Lostprophets, was serving a sentence for various sex crimes, including attempting to rape and sexually assaulting children under 13, with one victim being only 10 months old.
Two individuals, aged 25 and 43, have been arrested on suspicion of Watkins’ murder and are currently in police custody as confirmed by West Yorkshire Police. Hannah recounted her initial admiration for Watkins before he turned his attention to her child, noting that she had previously sought his attention on social media during her teenage years.
When Hannah was 17, she claimed Watkins asked her to undress during a webcam interaction, but he soon shifted his focus to her young daughter. She described his disturbing remarks to The Sun, expressing the profound impact it had on her mental well-being. Despite her refusal to comply with his requests, Watkins persisted, suggesting a physical meeting and making repugnant inquiries about her child’s role as a potential “sex slave.”
Following her encounter with Watkins, he was apprehended. Authorities discovered an alarming 27 terabytes of child abuse material on his electronic devices, with Watkins using references to child abuse as passwords to encrypt his illicit content.
A former inmate from Wakefield revealed that Watkins displayed no remorse and remained self-absorbed before his demise in prison. Reports indicate that Watkins maintained a following of young female admirers while incarcerated, engaging in regular visits with three individuals referred to as ‘goth groupies,’ displaying affectionate behavior with them. He accumulated a substantial volume of letters from women, some containing explicit content and sexual fantasies.
In 2019, Watkins received an additional 10-month sentence for possessing a mobile phone in prison, which he used to contact a former girlfriend. The court case revealed further disturbing details of his activities behind bars, including reaching out to the woman he had been involved with previously.
Watkins had ominously predicted his own fate, suggesting potential harm may come to him in prison, a prophecy that materialized in a brutal assault by three inmates in 2023, resulting in severe injuries.
