Netflix is set to release a docuseries titled “The One About Matthew Perry,” offering a deeper look into the life of the late actor known for his role as Chandler Bing in the beloved sitcom “Friends.” This three-part series aims to provide a comprehensive view of Matthew Perry, from his early days as a comedic talent to his iconic portrayal on the hit show.
The documentary will feature never-before-heard accounts from Perry’s inner circle, including his sister Mia Perry Bowick, a grief specialist who has openly shared her experiences coping with his passing. Bowick expressed the complexity of loving Perry beyond his public persona, shedding light on his struggles with addiction and portraying him as a multifaceted individual.
Matthew Perry tragically passed away at the age of 54 due to a ketamine overdose, leading to legal consequences for individuals involved in the drug supply chain. Dr. Salvador Plasencia, one of those connected to Perry’s case, is currently appealing his 30-month prison sentence for selling ketamine to the actor.
