“Nightclub Security Personnel Charged with Assault on Winnipeg Athlete”

Three security personnel at a downtown Winnipeg nightclub are facing charges of assault following an incident that left a Winnipeg Sea Bears player with serious injuries earlier this month, according to the police. Teddy Allen was hospitalized after being assaulted at the nightclub in the early hours of August 3, as reported by the Canadian Elite Basketball League team. The individuals, aged 35, 37, and 58, who were employed by the establishment, were apprehended on Wednesday and charged with assault causing bodily harm, as stated in a police news release on Thursday. They have all been released on undertakings. Although the nightclub was not disclosed by the authorities, it was revealed to be located on Main Street, between Portage and William avenues. Allen, who has undergone medical examinations and received treatment, is currently recuperating at home, according to a statement released by the team on Thursday. In response to the incident, Allen expressed that such an assault should never occur to anyone for any reason. He also emphasized his resilience in overcoming challenges.
