Police in Oxford have initiated an inquiry following the tragic death of a baby who became ill suddenly. Responding to a call in the Rose Hill neighborhood on a Saturday morning, officers swiftly transported the infant to a hospital where, despite medical efforts, the baby passed away a few hours later. Authorities have categorized the incident as unexplained but not deemed it suspicious.

Following the hospital visit, law enforcement officers visited the residence of the deceased infant, a standard protocol for cases of sudden or unexplained deaths. Witnesses observed a rapid response from officers, paramedics, and critical care vehicles at the scene.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police stated, “Thames Valley Police responded to a request for assistance at a property in the Rose Hill area shortly before 9 a.m. on Saturday, concerning an unwell baby. Regrettably, despite medical intervention at the hospital, the baby succumbed. Our sympathies are with the family during this challenging period. The circumstances surrounding the death are currently classified as unexplained yet non-suspicious.”
