Police in Oxford have initiated an inquiry following the tragic death of a baby who became ill suddenly. Responding to a call in the Rose Hill neighborhood on a Saturday morning, officers swiftly transported the infant to a hospital where, despite medical efforts, the baby passed away a few hours later. Authorities have categorized the incident as unexplained but not deemed it suspicious.
Following the hospital visit, law enforcement officers visited the residence of the deceased infant, a standard protocol for cases of sudden or unexplained deaths. Witnesses observed a rapid response from officers, paramedics, and critical care vehicles at the scene.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police stated, “Thames Valley Police responded to a request for assistance at a property in the Rose Hill area shortly before 9 a.m. on Saturday, concerning an unwell baby. Regrettably, despite medical intervention at the hospital, the baby succumbed. Our sympathies are with the family during this challenging period.
