Prince Andrew has been criticized by a Government minister who stated that he did not merit the titles he has been stripped of. Sir Chris Bryant disclosed that during his only encounter with the disgraced Royal, Andrew insisted on arriving by helicopter, contrary to the late Queen who always arrived by car. Trade Minister Sir Chris expressed that there was a clear abuse of position and noted that the majority of the public had long supported the removal of Andrew’s titles.

Furthermore, Sir Chris suggested that Andrew should travel to the US to address questions regarding his connections to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender. In a significant development, Buckingham Palace announced that Andrew has agreed to vacate Royal Lodge due to the ongoing controversy surrounding his association with Epstein. His new designation will be Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

Speaking on Times Radio, Sir Chris highlighted the longstanding allegations against Andrew, emphasizing the accounts of Virginia Giuffre and others that indicated an abuse of trust. He pointed out that many individuals, including most listeners, believed that Andrew should have his titles revoked. According to Sir Chris, the allegations made by Virginia Giuffre clearly demonstrated that Andrew misused his position of trust for personal gain.

Sir Chris recounted a past encounter with Andrew, where the Royal opted to arrive by helicopter despite the Queen consistently using a car for her visits. He recommended that Andrew, now considered an ordinary member of the public, should comply with any requests to address inquiries, particularly if they come from a Senate committee.

While Andrew denies the allegations against him, Buckingham Palace acknowledged “serious lapses of judgment.” The Palace indicated that Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and will be relocating to alternative private accommodation after surrendering his lease on Royal Lodge.
