Russian President Vladimir Putin’s top propagandist has issued a threat to British Royal Air Force (RAF) pilots, warning them of potential death if they are deployed to defend Poland against Russian provocations.

Vladimir Solovyov, a prominent figure in Russian media, falsely claimed that France might be sending nuclear missiles to Poland through President Emmanuel Macron’s deployment of Rafale fighters. This move comes in response to Russia’s recent airspace violation over Poland involving 23 drones.

During a televised address, Solovyov insinuated that the British and French pilots are risking their lives by patrolling Polish skies as part of NATO’s Eastern Sentry mission. He raised concerns about potential conflicts between RAF Typhoons and French Rafale fighters, questioning where casualties would be buried.

Creating a sense of alarm over the Western military presence, Solovyov suggested that the French Rafale fighters in Poland have the capability to carry nuclear weapons, although they arrived without such armaments. He ominously warned of a “nuclear dawn” and labeled any takeoff by these planes as a potential trigger for a nuclear war.

These threats from the Kremlin-controlled media outlet followed remarks by Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who stated that the West is engaged in a de facto war with Russia, emphasizing NATO’s involvement in the conflict.

Simultaneously, Russia intensified its attacks on Ukraine, resulting in civilian casualties and destruction. Various regions in Ukraine, including Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv, faced Russian assaults, with reports of fatalities and injuries.

In response, Ukraine confirmed retaliatory strikes on Russian command posts in occupied Donetsk, aiming to disrupt Russian military operations and compel a halt to the aggression.

The ongoing hostilities underscore the escalating tensions between Russia and Western nations, with the threat of wider conflict looming over the region.
