Samsung has unveiled a fresh lineup of Galaxy S26 smartphones, boasting innovative features that set them apart, including the new Privacy Display exclusive to the S26 Ultra model. This cutting-edge feature ensures privacy by making on-screen content disappear when not directly viewed, preventing unauthorized access by bystanders.
The introduction of the built-in Privacy Display marks a significant advancement in display technology, as Samsung highlighted. By manipulating pixel light dispersion, the display ensures clear, bright content visibility for the user while limiting visibility to others.
In addition to the Privacy Display, the S26 Ultra features a sleeker design, extended battery life, and is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform from Qualcomm. Rapid charging capabilities enable a 75% charge in just 30 minutes. The device also boasts an enhanced quad rear camera for improved low-light photography and upgraded Super Steady video capabilities.
Furthermore, the S26 Ultra comes with an S Pen for convenient note-taking on its 6.9-inch AMOLED screen. Joining the Ultra model are the standard S26 with a 6.3-inch screen and the larger 6.7-inch Plus version, both powered by Samsung’s Exynos chip and equipped with triple-lens rear cameras.
Samsung’s new smartphones receive a significant boost in smart features thanks to the Galaxy AI upgrade, offering enhanced user experiences. Features like Now Nudge provide relevant suggestions to users, streamlining tasks and minimizing distractions.
While these updates enhance user experiences, they come with a higher price tag this year. The UK pricing for the Galaxy S26 range is as follows:
– S26: 256GB £879, 512GB £1,049
– S26 Plus: 256GB £1,099, 512GB £1,269
– S26 Ultra: 256GB £1,279, 512GB £1,449, 1TB (with 16GB RAM) £1,699
The new Samsung Galaxy S26 smartphones will be available in stores next month.
