Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers are set to experience an increase in their bills starting next month following the recent announcement of a price hike. The majority of customers will face a monthly bill increment of £1.50, translating to an annual surge of £18, although some individuals may encounter varying adjustments.
The revised prices will take effect from February 14, 2026, marking the first price alteration for in-contract Sky Mobile customers in over seven years. Subscribers who are dissatisfied with the escalated charges and are within the minimum contract period have the option to terminate their package without incurring an early termination fee.
In contrast, the cost of the Sky Mobile social tariff, catering to individuals with limited incomes, will remain unchanged. Sky attributed the price adjustment to escalating wholesale network expenses and assured customers that they will be notified promptly about the impending bill revisions.
A spokesperson from Sky Mobile explained that the £1.50 increase is necessary to sustain the expected quality, service, and value for customers. The decision, made after more than seven years without mid-contract mobile price adjustments, reflects the industry’s ongoing cost pressures while enabling continued investments in network enhancement and customer experience.
This development follows the announcement by O2, revealing a planned £2.50 monthly rise for nearly all mobile and SIM-only contract subscribers from April 2026, surpassing the initially proposed £1.80 increment. Additionally, Three mobile users opting for data plans of 4GB or less from November 9 will encounter a £1.80 monthly escalation from April 2026, up by 80p from the current £1 raise.
Customers with data plans ranging from 4GB to 100GB will witness a £1.90 monthly price surge from April 2026, while those with over 100GB will face a £2.30 increase per month. Furthermore, Three broadband subscribers are slated for a £3.50 monthly bill uptick starting April 2026.
Vodafone mobile customers securing deals post-November 12 will experience a £2.50 monthly bill elevation, with Basics SIM plan holders incurring a £1.50 rise. Vodafone broadband users are set to confront a £3.50 monthly price hike. Existing Vodafone and Three broadband or mobile contract holders will witness price adjustments based on their pre-agreed terms.
