Sony has unveiled three new vibrant color options for the DualSense controller and customizable console covers for the PlayStation 5. The colors, named ‘Techno Red,’ ‘Remix Green,’ and ‘Rhythm Blue,’ are designed to stand out and showcase the RGB spectrum.
Sae Konayashi from Sony’s design team described the new designs as featuring a seamless gradient with a high-gloss finish, enhancing the colors’ vibrancy. The console covers also have a touch of transparency for added style.
These new designs will be released in limited quantities starting March 12, 2026, and will be available for purchase directly from the PlayStation Direct store. The DualSense controllers will be priced at £74.99, slightly higher than the PS5 console covers priced at £64.99, with pre-orders opening on January 16.
Notably, the console covers are only compatible with the slim version of the PlayStation 5, excluding the launch model and PS5 Pro. However, the DualSense controllers are universally compatible. The special edition controllers like God of War 20th Anniversary and Ghost of Yotei are also priced at £74.99.
These accessories are part of Sony’s efforts to provide personalization options for the PlayStation 5. Enthusiasts on Reddit have shown positive reactions to the new designs, especially the green variant, drawing comparisons to Charlie XCX’s ‘Brat’ album cover.
