Amy Dowden from Strictly Come Dancing shared a touching gesture from Shirley Ballas as she made her comeback to the show after battling cancer last year. The professional dancer had to exit the BBC competition due to a breast cancer diagnosis in 2023 but updated fans in February 2024 that she was cancer-free. In an Instagram post, Amy expressed her gratitude for Shirley’s support during her chemotherapy, showcasing their friendship.

Amy received a copy of Shirley’s book, “Best Foot Forward,” with a heartfelt note, mentioning her in the book. She recounted how Shirley’s handwritten letters during her cancer treatment brought her joy, appreciating the personal touch. Amy shared that Shirley’s book would be a comforting read before the live Strictly shows, helping her relax and focus.

Partnered with Amy on the show is Thomas Skinner, a former Apprentice contestant. However, Thomas faced backlash for his controversial behavior, including a recent incident where he took a reporter’s phone and left abruptly. Despite the criticism, Thomas remains defiant, emphasizing his resilience against negativity.

In other news, Love Island star Dani Dyer had to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing due to an ankle fracture sustained during rehearsals. Dani expressed her disappointment at missing the opportunity to dance but pledged to support her fellow contestants from the sidelines.
