In Moscow, a Russian official has passed away under suspicious circumstances by reportedly falling from a high floor at a prestigious five-star hotel. The deceased, Alexander Fedotov, who was associated with Vladimir Putin’s transport minister Roman Starovoit, was discovered outside the Skypoint Luxe hotel near Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport.
Fedotov, who had been on a business trip and staying on an upper level at the hotel, was found without any indication of a suicide note. His sudden resignation from his role as transport chief in St Petersburg last year had been linked to an investigation by Russia’s FSB. There are speculations surrounding the deaths of both Fedotov and Starovoit, with reports suggesting potential foul play and even torture before their demise.
A media outlet reported that the two deceased officials were part of the same group, hinting at their close ties. Additionally, another official connected to both individuals has gone missing, adding to the mystery surrounding these incidents. Fedotov’s death closely followed the discovery of another high-profile figure, Boris Avakyan, a former customs chief, found deceased in the Armenian consulate restroom in St Petersburg with self-inflicted injuries, after fleeing a court case involving a significant financial fraud trial.
In a separate incident, Alexander Tyunin, a prominent Russian executive from a military-related chemical plant, was also found dead from a gunshot wound. These unforeseen deaths have raised concerns in Russia, particularly given the timing amidst the conflict in Ukraine. Speculations have emerged regarding the possibility of these incidents being targeted killings rather than suicides, potentially related to underlying business conflicts.
The series of deaths involving key figures from major companies have sparked suspicions and fueled rumors of orchestrated assassinations within the business community. The circumstances surrounding these tragic events continue to pose unanswered questions, leaving authorities and the public puzzled about the underlying causes and motives behind these high-profile fatalities.
