A man who tragically passed away in an alleged incident at a holiday park has been identified as Raymond Cosgrove, aged 33. The incident took place at Rothesay Gardens in Wemyss Bay Holiday Park, Inverclyde, Scotland, on Sunday at 12:05 am. Emergency services responded to the scene and pronounced the father of three deceased. Police Scotland, providing support to Raymond’s family, disclosed that two individuals were taken into custody, with one individual charged with assault.

Following the unfortunate event, a 21-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were apprehended in connection to the assault. The man has been charged and is scheduled to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court, while the woman has been released pending further investigation. Authorities conducted an investigation at the holiday park, with forensic officers observed at the crime scene set up between two caravans.

Detective Inspector Nicky Beattie of Police Scotland expressed that Raymond’s passing may cause distress among the community and assured that Raymond’s family is receiving specialized support. The news of Raymond’s demise spurred an outpouring of condolences on social media platforms, with users expressing sympathy and sadness for the family.

A spokesperson for Wemyss Bay Holiday Park extended their deepest condolences to Raymond’s family and refrained from commenting further on the ongoing investigation.
