TUI has introduced three fresh flight paths to a Greek island currently basking in 24°C temperatures.
The airline is rolling out three new direct routes to Kos, offering an easier way to enjoy a slice of Mediterranean paradise. The newly launched service will operate from Bournemouth, Exeter, and London Stansted, providing travelers in the South of England with convenient access to the sun-drenched Greek destination.
This marks the first direct connection between Bournemouth and Exeter to Kos by TUI, expanding accessibility to the island for a new wave of holidaymakers. Vacationers can now book seven or 14-night getaways to the sought-after island renowned for its sandy beaches, ancient relics, and serene port towns.
For London residents, the Stansted route, which was last operational in 2019, is back with twice-weekly flights on Mondays and Thursdays. With summer temperatures averaging a balmy 27°C, Kos is perfect for sun-seekers looking to bask in genuine Mediterranean sunshine.
Moreover, Kos offers an affordable travel destination, with an average beer priced around £3.50 and an ice cream around £2.60.
Rich in history, Kos boasts attractions like the Asklepieion sanctuary, the Roman Odeon, and the medieval Neratzia Castle. Visitors can also enjoy picturesque sunset views from the mountain village of Zia.
A notable feature of Kos is its bike-friendly environment, with dedicated cycling paths spanning the 30-mile landmass, earning it the moniker ‘cycling island.’
Travelers looking to escape to Kos this November will need to consider alternate airlines and routes as there are no direct flights from UK airports during the winter season. The quickest option involves a stopover in Athens, extending the journey to approximately six hours. Flights are available for £60 this November.
Neil Swanson, TUI UK and Ireland’s managing director, expressed enthusiasm for the new Kos routes, citing increased demand for this idyllic island destination. The added services from Bournemouth and Exeter, along with the reinstated London Stansted route, aim to make Greek island holidays more accessible to customers in the South of England. With various holiday durations available, travelers can plan their perfect escape, ranging from a quick 3-night retreat to a full two-week vacation. Kos offers pristine beaches, traditional tavernas, clear waters, quaint villages, and a wealth of history for Brits to savor during their holiday.
TUI is offering a range of packages for Kos-bound travelers to choose from.
