Turkish vocalist Gül Tut, popularly known as Güllü, has passed away at 51 following a tragic fall from the sixth floor of her residence in Çnarck, Yalova.
Her son, Tuberk Yaz, confirmed the news on social media shortly after the incident, refuting speculations of suicide and announcing funeral arrangements.
According to reports, Güllü was on the balcony with her daughter and a family friend when she suddenly fell after feeling unwell around 3 am. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Yalova Governor’s Office reported that the artist fell from the window while spending time with her daughter and her friend. An official investigation has been initiated by the Çnarck District Police Department.
Fans have been expressing their grief and tributes for the singer, known for her Romani-inspired music, which propelled her to fame since starting her career at the age of 15.
Güllü was a prominent figure in Turkish arabesque and fantasy music, having released numerous successful albums with hits like “Eyim Oldun,” “Sabah Olmadan,” and “Demezmi Sana.”
