Bargain expert Jordon Cox has shared a clever method to uncover a “hidden code” that signals an upcoming deal expiration at Tesco.
Known as the Coupon King on ITV’s This Morning, Jordon regularly imparts money-saving advice on social media. In a recent video, he elucidated that products on Clubcard Price promotion display a six-digit number indicating the offer’s expiry date.
By decoding the numbers in reverse and grouping them in twos, you can determine the deal’s expiration date. The last two digits represent the day, the middle two the month, and the first two the year. This decoding method allows shoppers to plan their purchases in advance and save money on shopping trips.
Tesco is currently reminding customers to utilize £16.5 million worth of expiring Clubcard vouchers before the end of the month. These vouchers must be redeemed before midnight on November 30.
Shoppers earn Clubcard points for every pound spent on groceries in-store or online, fuel purchases at Tesco petrol stations, Tesco Mobile expenses, and Tesco credit card transactions. Accumulating a minimum of 150 points entitles customers to a £1.50 Clubcard voucher, redeemable at Tesco. Presently, more than 24 million UK households possess a Tesco Clubcard.
Tesco’s Group Membership and Loyalty Director, Shama Wilson, emphasized the importance of utilizing Clubcard vouchers before expiration. She highlighted the significant value of expiring vouchers this quarter, suggesting various reward options such as cinema tickets at Cineworld or food rewards at PizzaExpress.
