Police have initiated a significant investigation following the sexual assault of a woman inside a crowded city center bar. The assault occurred at Stone Roses bar on Sunday, October 12, between 2am and 4am, specifically in the bar’s restroom. The British Transport Police (BTP) have urgently appealed for information to locate the perpetrator and have shared an image of a man they wish to speak with regarding the incident.
A spokesperson stated that urgent police inquiries began on Thursday, October 16, once the authorities were alerted and the location was confirmed. Detectives are now urgently seeking witnesses and any relevant information. Detective Constable Rob Wyllie described the incident as shocking and horrifying, emphasizing the swift efforts to identify and apprehend the responsible individual. He urged anyone who recognizes the man in the image or had interactions with him that night to contact the police promptly to aid the investigation.
