Vanessa Feltz has openly shared her feelings of guilt while balancing motherhood and career, expressing concerns about not doing it perfectly. She mentioned making sacrifices to manage both aspects of her life successfully.
In an exclusive interview with OK!, Vanessa proudly discussed the accomplishments of her daughters, Allegra and Saskia, who have established careers as a tax lawyer and child therapist, respectively. She praised their hard work ethic, attributing it to herself.
Similar to her daughters, who are also mothers, Vanessa raised her two children while holding down a full-time job. She acknowledged the challenges and guilt that often accompanied this juggling act, emphasizing the constant feeling of not getting it right.
Reflecting on her parenting experience, Vanessa recalled the hectic moments of multitasking between work and family obligations, rather than feeling triumphant about managing it all seamlessly.
Although Vanessa acknowledged the positive influence of her work ethic on her children, she emphasized the difficulties and the importance of not neglecting her daughters in the process.
Vanessa admitted that self-sacrifice was a common occurrence in her efforts to balance work and family life, often putting her own needs on the back burner. Despite her children now being adults, Vanessa continues to maintain a busy schedule with multiple jobs, including co-hosting a podcast with Saskia titled Help! My Child is Anxious, focusing on children’s mental health and parental coping mechanisms.
Vanessa’s commitment to her various roles remains evident, demonstrating her dedication to her career and family.
