This fall marks the comeback of innocent smoothies’ Big Knit initiative, which has received a stylish update this year. Led by The Great British Bake Off personality Prue Leith and showcased by knitters from Age UK, this year’s campaign has partnered with popular fashion brand House of Sunny to introduce five exclusive knits inspired by fruits found in innocent’s smoothies.
The sweaters and cardigans reflect House of Sunny’s distinctive vibrant and playful design, adorned with fruity patterns on the front. Starting on October 22, the knitwear collection will be available for winning through giveaways on innocent’s website and Instagram account.
Prue expressed her enthusiasm about the campaign, stating, “I’m thrilled to be part of this initiative. The Big Knit has always been more than just hats; it’s about aiding Age UK in supporting older individuals to lead fulfilling lives. Now, it has been elevated to a whole new level with a fantastic fashion line that’s colorful and enjoyable.”
For those unfamiliar with the Big Knit campaign, it has been active since 2003, raising over £3.6 million to assist older individuals throughout the UK. In collaboration with Age UK, small hats are hand-knitted for innocent smoothie bottles, with 30p from each bottle sold contributing to enhancing the well-being of older people.
While the campaign traditionally featured adorable knitted hats for the smoothie bottles, this year introduces a chance to win and wear fruity knitwear. The collection includes five designs: strawberry, cherry, mango, lemon, and pineapple, available in crew neck jumper or collared cardigan styles.
To win one of these knitwear pieces, individuals can visit innocent’s website and Instagram account from October 22 at 10 am to learn more and participate in the draw. Additional releases are scheduled on October 24, 28, and 31, as well as November 4.
The competition will conclude on November 5 at 11:59 pm, with winners being selected shortly after. There are 450 cardigans up for grabs, including 150 in strawberry, cherry, and lemon designs each, and 300 jumpers available, featuring 150 pineapple and mango designs each.
To participate, individuals simply need to follow the link, provide their name, email, and dress size (S-M/M-L) in a secure form for a chance to win. Additionally, there is an option to make a donation to Age UK while entering, contributing to the charity’s cause while vying for the knitwear.
Apart from online donations, individuals can support the Age UK Big Knit campaign by purchasing innocent smoothies adorned with one of 1.3 million knitted and crochet hats, available in Sainsbury’s and Co-op stores nationwide.
