“27-Year-Old Arrested for Impaired Driving After Crashing into Residence”

The Windsor Police Service announced the arrest of a 27-year-old man for impaired driving following a car collision with a residence. Law enforcement responded to the incident on Armanda Street close to Malden Road around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday. Upon arrival, authorities discovered the vehicle had struck the front of the house, coming to a stop with its front bumper against the entrance steps. The driver, who was still inside the car, displayed various signs of impairment including red, glossy eyes, slurred speech, unsteadiness, and drowsiness. Subsequently, the police apprehended the driver and transported him to Windsor police headquarters for a breathalyzer test, which indicated a blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit by more than double. The individual faces charges for impaired driving. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, though the property sustained over $10,000 in damages.
