Following a hiatus in 1984, Soft Cell reunited in 2000 for live shows and further album releases, including their fourth album Cruelty Without Beauty in 2002.
In 2018, the band reunited for a final concert at The O2 in London, and in 2022, they released their fifth studio album, Happiness Not Included. Their sixth studio album, Danceteria, named after a famous New York nightclub from the ’80s, is set for release in Spring 2026. Apart from his Soft Cell fame, Dave was also part of The Grid alongside Richard Norris, achieving success with hits like Swamp Thing.
