Kristen Bell has shared her struggles with depression, revealing the difficulty she faced in getting out of bed during the toughest times. The 45-year-old actress, who first spoke about her mental health challenges in 2016, has battled anxiety and depression. Reflecting on her decision to speak openly about her experiences, Kristen acknowledged that she had portrayed a cheerful persona for years despite the internal heaviness she felt. The positive response she received after being honest about her struggles encouraged her to continue discussing them.

In an interview with Red Magazine for their December edition, Kristen admitted that overcoming depression was a challenging task. In 2016, she candidly discussed the debilitating nature of her mental health battles. Kristen emphasized that depression, for her, was not just sadness but a complete shutdown of her mental well-being, which began during her university days. Despite her normally upbeat personality, she found herself inexplicably dragged down by intangible feelings of despair.

Today, Kristen, who is married to Dax Shepherd, openly addresses her mental health issues and aims to support others facing similar challenges. She also relies on her close friendship with Adam Brody, her co-star in the Netflix series “Nobody Wants This.” The show recently returned for a second season, though Kristen revealed that convincing Adam to join the project was no easy feat. She expressed surprise at his acceptance, praising his versatility as an actor and his ability to captivate audiences even in unconventional roles.
