Video footage captured the harrowing moment when Jhordana Dias, a 26-year-old woman from Brazil, cried out for help as the attacker pointed towards the intervening woman before fleeing when the train stopped. The incident occurred on the morning of October 16 on Line C of the RER train between Choisy-le-Roi and Villeneuve-le-Roi stations.
The assailant reportedly targeted Jhordana as she was alone on the train, entering just as the doors were closing. Feeling threatened by his demeanor, she anticipated the attack.
